CALL FOR OUTDOOR SCULPTURE

To All Pac Rim Members,
The 30th anniversary of the Annual Bioneers Conference is being held on October 18-20, 2019, at the Marin Civic Center Fairgrounds, San Rafael, CA. Peter Keresztury was asked to coordinate a sculpture exhibition at the event. We have attached information about the Bioneers, which also explains the purpose of the organization and their conference held each year. Their website: www.bioneers.org
Though the call is out for all artists, any Pac Rim member who is interested in participating should contact Peter at peterker@pacbell.net, for more info on the event. The sculptures will be placed within the grounds of the event for 3 days, with set-up on Thursday, October 17, 8am-5pm and take-down on Sunday, October 20, after 6pm. We will be able to drive our vehicles to the area where the sculptures will be displayed for unloading and loading. There will be 24 hour security at the event, but artists need to insure their own work.
All sculptures will be displayed outside in one area of the fairgrounds. Artists will supply their own pedestals and information about their sculpture, including the price. Large sculptures are preferred. The event will also include a sculpture walk.
If you display a sculpture at the event, you will receive 2 free tickets for all the days of the event and each artist will receive payment to be determined, to display their work. Peter will work with the Bioneers to allow Pacific Rim a table and chairs to distribute information and handle sales of sculptures. All sales will be handled through Pacific Rim and the artists will receive 100% if sold.
Hours of the event plus schedule of speakers, performers, etc. will be forthcoming.
Pac Rim will need to supply 2 people on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to provide information on Pac Rim and handle all sales. Their pay will be determined.
This looks like a great opportunity for Pacific Rim Sculptors Group to display our work. Peter will be bringing 2 of his kinetic wind sculptures. Please contact him with a photo and information about your sculpture.
